The latches and hinges are all in great shape, the left and right latches springs. This case is overall quite clean, it has certainly been used but not abused. It will fit Fender Mustang and Duo Sonic guitars. Previous owner installed 2 switches as seen, also there was an extra screw that was made in the middle of it to hold it to the body more firmly. This case is estimated to be from the 1960s, an exact year was unable to be determined. I also replaced the saddles for compensated brass ones for a better intonation. Find used Fender Duo Sonic for sale on eBay, Craigslist, Letgo, OfferUp, Amazon and others. I have left it in the condition that I acquired it in except the switch has been replaced. Sure some chordal stuff may feel cramped in the higher frets, but I really got the hang of it at once. 1960 FENDER DUO- SONIC is all original, and in very good condition. I never had played a 22 scale before, it's lots of fun. But even in its neglected state and with decades old strings this guitar was feeling really good. It was neglected for a long time, the frets were black and grimy. What can be concluded from the photos is that the guitar is most likely an early to mid-1960s Fender Duo-Sonic finished in white, featuring two single-coil pickups, and a stop-tail bridge. It's all original except for the paint and the stupid rotary pickup selector, and it came with the original case. This guitar was seen in some photos taken at John’s place presumably sometime in the early 2000s. Last week I took a trip there and I was finally able to check it out in person. I got it on ebay about a year and a half for a really good price and had been waiting at my friend's place in NYC since then. The lil guitar that could! Loving this thing.
